KINGS PEAK --- UINTAHS TRIP
Well this last week Trenton and I went to the Uintahs with the goal of climbing KINGS PEAK. Which is the tallest point in the state of UTAH. We did a total of 47 miles of hiking. There was alot of pain involved! We had a saying whenever we decdied to do something. It was "LET'S GIVE HER HELL" for example friday we climbed Kings Peak which was 9.5 miles and then after we got back to camp the question was raised should we go fishing? The reply was "let's give her hell"! So we hiked an additional 6 miles roundtrip to a fishing hole! That saying got me through alot!
Because we did so much hiking we got to see alot of country and had a dang good time. I will post more videos and pics of this trip in the future. It was the best camp out I have ever been on.
Trenton and I packed Doctor Peppers to the top of Kings THIS WAS THE MOST DESERVED AND BEST TASKING D.P. These lips have ever tasted.
From Base camp to Kings Peak we made it in under 3 hrs. and 30 mins. We went a little over 3,000 feet in elevation from our base camp. It was a total of 9.5 miles round trip for us. From base camp to the top it was 5.3 miles.
TRENTON and I gave Kings Peak HELL, here is a pic to prove it!

After climbing Kings peak Trenton and I decided to take the "Shoot" down well this is pretty much straight down and all shale rock it was pretty cool. A hell of alot faster going down this way then going back through Gun sight pass. I've included two pics one on top getting ready to go down and one when we reached the bottom.

Here is some pics of two of the freaking hogs I caught up to the Uintahs. Trenton and I found a honey hole that was packed with fish. In four hours he and I combined caught about 70 fish out these beaver dams we found. It was the best fishing I have ever had in my life!!!

DEMO DERBY
Well We went to a Demolition derby on Saturday. It was a pretty good time! You really can't beat watching metal twist, hearing raw power, the burning smell of fuel and oil, and you can't forget the pleasant aroma of the 300lb redneck that is sitting next to you who has a horrific smell of B.O.

GROUSE CREEK FUN ON THE 4TH
Well here is a few pictures from the 4th of July Bash in Grouse. We had a Grand Ole time. I'm sure Amber will post some more picture later for your enjoyment. For now here is a few shots of her shooting the Potato Gun. Here is a before and after pics of Amber shooting the gun. I'm guessing she may have wet herself because the BANG scared her. I have also added a video of my Aunt Kaleen attempting to shoot the potato gun. It took alot of talking to get her to try it and then when she finally decided to do it we couldn't get the gun to fire. Blast! it was fun having Kaleen out it had been some time since she had visited Grouse.
The town of Grouse Creek even put on a Parade on saturday where ZZ TOP made an appearance. This is some of the Grouse Creek locals and yes some of my Cousins. Their float was called the Saggy Bottom band. It was quite COMICAL!! ( You might be a red neck if you are half naked singing and dancing on a hay wagon that is dragging main.)
For being a desert Grouse Creek is still receiving alot of rain, they have had two of the main roads into Grouse Creek wash out this spring. Amber and I went for a very Wet and Muddy Four wheeler ride.
I was also able to get my log bed out to Grouse Creek and set up in one of the bedrooms. Amber is very pleased that it is finished and not take up space in the car port anymore.
