Happy Mother's Day

To all of the wonderful Mothers and Grandmothers in my life. I just want to tell you how much I love you and appreciate all that you do for Robin and I. What a wonderful blessing it is to have each of you in my life to raise, teach and nurture me. I thank my Father in Heaven every night for the wonderful mothers who have blessed my life. I have been taught so much from each of you, and want to thank you for your wonderful examples. Making choices in my life is easy because I have each of you to look to for council and an example. I only hope that I can be half the mother you all are some day.

Mom, thank you for teaching me that no matter what choices others make in their lives I must continually be there for them to love and support. You have been tha best example to me of how not to pass my own judgement. I love you !!!!

Cathy, thank you for teaching me that continual patience, love and understanding will always get me further in my life. And that I should always be myself. I love you!!!

Grandma, I don't get to spend as much time as I would like to with you! I am hoping that this summer will change that. But Thank you for always having a welcoming and open door. You have taught me that a simple call to check on someone and how things are going in their life can make all the difference. Thank you for keeping track of me and supporting me in all that I do, and thank you for teaching my mom how to be such an awesome mother. I love you!!

Rockin It At the Demo Derby

Every Year I look forward to going to the summer Demolition Derbys in Logan. I think I might even like going to them more than Robin. Call me a Redneck if you will, but it is so fun to pick your favorite car and watch it smash the other cars to smitherines. So you can imagine my excitment when I saw the advertisement for the first one of the year. I called the family and invited them, because everything is a lot more fun with family. The only ones who could break away from their busy schedule was Robin and I, Chuck (dad), Caleb, and Abbi. We got there early so that we would have the perfect seats and waited for the derby to begin. If only I knew how completly heart renching this derby was going to be for me. The only way I can give you the full effect of this stroy is through the pictures. So, grab a tissure and prepare yourself for heartache.

The Derby started at like every other. Regular old beat up cars getting themselves a little more beat up. During the Second heat of cars is when someone decieded to change the regular old car thing by driving in a beautiful Chevlle into the rink. Yeah you heard me a Chevelle, and look at the thing it is in great condition. Now just a little background on this Von and I have always talked about gettinga Chevelle to rebuild together, but just have never came across the right one. Enter this one. I think we could have made this one work Von.Any car that comes into the rink looking so nice and new like this, generally has a target painted on its back, and tonight was no different. The first hit this car took, took off a rear tire, the second did it in. The blue car you see pictured here rolled my Chevelle right on its top. Completely smashing it.
The officials immediately stopped the heat to make sure everyone was okay. The driver was fine and then they rolled the car back up on its right side. This is what the after looked like. It is a cryin shame isn't it.

Quick Update

I promised myslef that if I was going to do a blog I would be good at updating it so that people didn't have to look at the same thing every time they logged on. This, however, is easier said than done. So here it is a quick update of our April adventures in pictures and narration.

Robin and I spent Spring Break in Grouse Creek. Can you believe that we actually got the same amount of time off of work and school? I can't! This was easter weekend and a lot of the Kimber clan joined us for the festivities. We had a great time flying kites, hiking the moutains, and eating yummy food! The weather was not near as fun. It made it hard to get out because the wind was constantly blowing and it was a very cold wind.

Robin is still doing great in school. He will finish his smester up in at the end of June and then start the next one the first of August. Gotta love that nursing schedule. He really is doing great though and I don't think he has scored below an 88% on a test yet, with even a few 100%'s which is pretty darn awesome in my book. He recently got a new toy that he thinks makes him pretty BAD! I will be honest when I say that I like the new addition. It is pretty fun to cruise around on. I am also doing pretty good. Word has finnaly come about my job next year. With the budget cuts the schools are facing next year they were not sure if they were going to have to lay off teachers from our school. We have been waiting for word since February and they finally told us. That everyone at Willard elementary is safe for another year. Yahhoo! And the best part is that I get to stay in my comfort zone of Kindergarten. We have so much fun and I really don't want to change.

Overall, things are great with Robin and I. We are just busily scooting by in life, and enjoying our time spent together. We feel very blessed to have such a great time together and what little time we do get to spend is cherished. I love Robin dearly and am grateful everyday that he was blessed in my life.
